am still kicking myself over the generics sold in india.having been there a few times i knew about their ability to produce quaity generics.i would have saved myself a lot of damage caused by the virus. hind sight is a wonderful thing.think its great that these meds are now so affordable.and many lives will be saved. i wish anyone getting these generics all the best                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      william

I think this post is acceptable on the Forum.

Forum Members are free to do what they like, and this is what may be available in Egypt.

If I had relapsed after Victrelis, I'd probably be on a plane to India, but this sounds like a good alternative.

Thanks for posting, Ultraviolet.

hello, This is my very 1st post here. am from Egypt where Genotype 4 is dominant. Just about every family in Egypt is touched by hepatitis C. Egypts hepatitis C epidemic dates back decades when glass syringes used during a mass vaccination campaign were not properly sterilized between use. prevalence of 15-20 % HCV.

I saw many people in the forum, waiting for the Fibrosis level to reach F3, so that insurance companies approves their treatment, which is very strange why wait when in Egypt. Sofosbuvir 400 mg is sold for 1600 LE ( 200 Dollars ) / bottle 28 coated-Tablets. Daclatasvir just 200 LE ( 25 Dollars ). Sov/Dac is like Harvoni but suitable for all genotypes. the 3 months course will cost 675 Dollars. and don't get tricked with the cheap prices and think meds here are junk it isn't, Because pharmaceutical companies were ordered to buy from the same INDIAN raw material supplier working with Gilead and Sofosbuvir isn't that expensive, the high price is because of the 8 billion dollars research. Everyday Sofosbuvir is getting cheaper. Generic Harvoni will be sold in pharmacies after 2 months for 2000 LE ( 250 Dollars ).

I Am not selling anything, I am not advertising anything. I am just trying to help. If the insurance company refused Harvoni for you. Jump on A jet come to Cairo for 3 days watch the camels, ride the pyramids and go to one of the big pharmacies and buy a whole course of Sov/Dac or generic Harvoni in February, or to Sharm El-Sheikh one of the outstanding beaches in the world.

Attached are pictures of generic sofos and daclas in the market.

Approved Protocols in Egypt :

1) Sovaldi + Olysio ( as a winter treatment in my opinion )

2) Sovaldi + Daklinza ( Clatazev )

3) Qurevo ( Vikera Pak ) + Ribavirin

4) Harvoni (  after 2 months will be available )
