Hi Gerri,

I am a newbie, read your post.  I am not understanding all the terminology that I read yet, But it looks like you wanted to try Harvoni, but they recommended Sovaldi. Just want you to know that me and the Mrs. are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers during this time.  Since I am not undergoing a tx program at this time, I don't know by personal experience, the answer to the question you asked about Sovaldi and whether or not you can tolerate it. But if I understand correctly, the virus is now undetected, you took your last Sovaldi, and your AST and ALT levels are 15 and 11, respectively. I am not sure if I understand the timeline for your tx. But, we are hoping the best for you, of course.

Hi Gerri,

Welcome to the forum! I'm a little confused with your post. You mentioned not being able to take Harvoni, but will be starting Sovaldi, which is half of the Harvoni compound (w/Ledipasvir). Then you said you just took the last of your Sovaldi. Could you explain that a bit more in detail please? What else did you take with it, Ribavirin?

We could use some more information, like genotype, previous treatment, level of fibrosis, etc. That will help us provide better informed opinions. I'll leave a link so you can add something in your signature section. That way it's always available.

If you are indeed finished with treatment, congratulations! Tell us how it went. It will clear your system in a week or two, but if you also took Ribavirin, that takes several months. Staying active, eating a balanced diet and continuing a good hydration program is very important. I look forward to hearing more about you.
