Yes, I was and still am inspired by her testimony.  And I learned that after her success with Hep C, she then told me she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent radiation tx, and she is now cancer free. She is truly a warrior!

Hi Mike, this all sounds good progress, it`s coming together for you step by step. 

Your story about meeting your old friend reminds me of something similar that happened to me.  At a time when I was considering whether to start tx or delay it once more I happened to bump into an old friend at a social gathering and was amazed at how well he looked compared to the previous time I`d seen him, some years before that.  When I spoke to him he told me about his success in treating his own Hep C and encouraged me to get on with mine as soon as possible.  He was my inspiration and I`ll always be grateful to him for that! 

Let us know when you have more results back, and keep up the positive thinking!  smile

All good news Mike, glad to hear that you got some data back.

I imagine one of the tests done today is a Fibrosure test to determine just what condition your liver is in. (e.g. what stage fibrosis F0-4).

Pretty sure that's a requirement by most if not all insurance plans to get Tx.

It will be good to know your Genotype, determines what meds you'll be taking.

Sounds like a great day, I know it's a relief knowing a bit more about what's in your future.

Glad to hear that your friend reached SVR, that's got to be encouraging and bring home the fact that you will be cured.

I saw the Infectious Disease Doctor today and had a pretty good appointment. She ordered quite a bit of blood work for tomorrow, and went over some newer blood test results that came in.  AST 191 ALT 246, Viral Load 1,976,000, Alpha Feto Protein was Negative for Liver Cirrhosis. The tests ordered today will tell what Geno Type I am, among other things the doctor needs to know.  Thanks everyone for supporting me the way you are.  I am ready to fight this, will need to wait for approval.

Another piece of good news, I spoke to a friend of mine I haven't seen for forty years.  She was diagnosed with HCV in 1999.  She was treated in 2013 with Harvoni for 90 days, and she achieved SVR, and today lives dragon free.biggrin
