Hi DiVinci,

I see some of the others have welcomed you, and I wanted to too. Glad you are here. This forum has been very helpful to me, before and throughout my treatment.

You offered a lot of good thorough information about yourself, and what has transpired with your liver health, but I did not note mention of what your GT is. This would be an excellent thing to know, for discussion purposes.

Re:  Your liver tumour discovered by MRI in 2015 - I was wondering about some of the details of your unconventional "Vienna" treatment of your liver tumour. Could you tell us more? Like ... how long the tumour treatment was (from when to when), and did it have a measurable effect on resolving the tumour.  You said your VL spiked - does this mean the tumour treatment was stopped, because of this? Has your tumour been resolved? Further info would be helpful to picture your whole health circumstance.

You said you were British, but your home? is Greece, and were in Vienna (only?) for tumour treatment? So, does this mean your regular docs (who you said had been following your hepc) are in Greece? And, is Greece the "home base" from which you will be trying to access the hepc drugs and hepc treatment?

You mention your interest in sourcing affordable generic Harvoni (so, I can only guess that you are a GT1?) Has it already been determined that Harvoni is the drug you need?, and, that Harvoni is not affordable to you in Greece?

Knowing your GT, whether you are tumour free, and what country your hepc treatment will be occurring in, has a bearing on how the folks here can best assist you with info.

I hope you will keep posting here, and that we can help. smile  C.

Hiya DaVinci,a

Welcome to the forum, thanks for posting here, others will now be able to find you and give you a warm welcome.

Many of us have had HCV for many years, like you I've had it for over 40 years. I just completed treatment and now need to wait 12wks until after End Of Treatment to confirm my SVR.

Take your time but it will help to put some information in your signature like GenoType, Viral Load, Liver test (F-?)

Keeps people from constantly asking you the same questions so they know the context of where you are in terms of Diagnosis/ Treatment/ Post-Treatment

Hi D,

Welcome again. I'm sorry that you've had to deal with HCC. How is that treatment coming? Glad to hear that you're getting it addressed and hopefully will be clear of that. Your chances to achieve SVR are not impacted by your viral load, so don't let that worry you. You will no doubt require 24 weeks of treatment. I would demand it.

I included some information in the thread you posted to "Harvoni in India - Suggestions". You can discuss the subject with Nirav by private message. We don't allow advertisements or the posting of retail links on the open forum.

You should set up your signature line with some details. You will notice most of us have done that in our signature lines. It helps to reply to your future posts without having to dig up your history. I've included a link below on how to set that up. If you're not familiar with the abbreviations used in this forum and elsewhere that deal with HCV and treatment, you'll find that information helpful.

Hi Everybody,

I am 63 years old and I have had HEP C for 40+ years. I have been monitoring my liver fibrosis, liver enzymes and viral load since 1990. My fibrosis levels had slowly increased from level one to level three, but my liver function was perfect and there was no indications of cirrhoses. In october 2015, I went for my six months MRI and discovered a 3.2cm tumour on my liver, which was diagnosed as hepatocarcionoma. I have been undergoing unconventional treatment in Vienna for the cancer. However, when my immune system became super-charged by the treatment, my HEPC viral load increased radically. Recently hitting 16.6 million/ltr. Thus I am very interested in sourcing a generic Havoni medicine that is affordable.

It is great to find a forum with fellow HEP-C sufferres and I look forward to many enlightened exchanges with you all.

DaVinci
