Buyers Club for New Hepatitis C drugs?

Greetings

If one follows JimmyK's link above to the hep-c related websites, you'll see Greg Jefferys Blog on the list. I met Greg some time ago, before joining this forum, and he has been a huge help to me. Greg has a buyers club in his homeland of Australia, and he can help people get generic hep-c medication from Australia and India airmailed to them, saving them the cost of a trip. Through Greg, I obtained generic Harvoni from a pharmaceutical manufacturer in India a few weeks ago for a total cost to me of $1415 for 12 weeks worth of the drug. At the end of this week I will have my first VL reading done since starting the therapy, and I expect good news. If being able to afford medication, or insurance is a problem, Greg will be more than happy to help you out.

Hello all,

we're all aware of the high prices of Hep C drugs. I've just watched a movie 'Dallas Buyers Club' where they had the same problem with HIV drugs in 70s and they created a so called buyers club where you could get all HIV drugs.

Is there some similar thing for Hepatitis C? I don't really have $100,000 to pay for the drugs but finding a credible buyers club could be my lifeline (I presume the price would be much lower).

Best,

Bob
