Hi Smiley,

Welcome here from me too.

I am glad you got zepatier, a regime with stellar results.

I hope they do not keep you waiting too long for your start. Because, once you do, you should start feeling better in the most important ways, knowing you are ridding yourself of this virus which is causing this grief for you.

This is a stressful time, just being diagnosed, being assessed and the waiting. Communications can be frustrating to say the least between us and the medical folk, that is hard to take too. Harder still when you are having symptoms.

Do fill us in on any other labs/history or details you are comfortable sharing.

We will all try to be of help.  C.

Hello Smiley!!!

Welcome to the forum! I think you're going to enjoy the friendship and information.

In my signature line are two links to setting up your sig line and abbreviations we use. If you're looking for specifics try the search function at the top of each page. A keyword or two will provide discussions here on the forum. Be advised that we have some old archived threads, so look for current discussion on some issues. All of these posts are informative though and each is a piece of their life.

I'm going to give you a link to some additional information on Zepatier.  HERE

Please provide any results you get and let us help you through treatment. You have found a good place!

Welcome Smilepete!

I don't know anything about Zepatier as I am week 10 of Epclusa. I have had this virus for about 37 years. I have had fatigue, joint pain and problems with anxiety. My Hep doc said that fatigue and joint pain were symptoms of Hep C. I am still tired, but the only joint pain that I have is in the ankle. That's why I went to the doctor in the first place. I have worked thru it all.

Have you been to a hepaologist? The specialists should be able to tell you a lot more than a regular doctor.

There are a lot of people on here that know WAY more than I do. They will be on shortly I am sure!

By the way, you are not crazy! What you are experiencing sound like what quite a few of us have been through.

Keep us posted on how you are doing!

Greetings and welcome to The Family here.

Symptoms, felt by a person are valid regardless of what some book or its' worm may say.

Here is an article you may enjoy, and take comfort in.

Hello everyone,

I was recently diagnosed with Hep C 1 B. The only reason that the doctor found it, was that I had so much pain in my right upper quadrant. I am waiting for the insurance company to approve Zepatier. Can youtell me who is or has taken it, and what side effects you may have or are having?  I have not been able to work in about six weeks. I suffer from severe fatigue, joint pain, and now depression. The GI doctor tells me that I should not be suffering from any symptoms. Am I crazy?

Thank you for any info,
