Welcome to the forum. Don't panic, if HCV is the diagnosis, you have some very effective options available. We're going to need some more information to understand what's going on in your world. Please tell us what you learned from your doctor. Start by describing  what you were told and any test results you may have. Don't worry, you'll get through this and we'll do our best to help you get there.

Hi Karen,

Don't feel alone! We are here! Sometimes it takes a bit for us to repond to a post.

What's going on and how can we help? I assume you were diagnosed with HCV, in January? 

What do you mean "deathbed"??!!

Is it a hep specialist you saw 3 days ago? What is he telling you?

Maybe things are not quite a bleak as it feels. But I know the feeling you speak of!

Post us what's going on and we'll gladly see how we might be able to help. C.

Just feeling very alone.  Went to get a blood test in January for Insurance & bam...seems I'm on my deathbed.  Haven't smoked for 20 days now & saw a specialist 3 days ago & haven't drank since then.  Future seeming bleak.

Sorry to be a downer  - hope everyone gets thru' this ok.
