HCV/HBV 1973. HBV resolved. HCV undiagnosed to 2015. 64 y.o. F. Canada.

GT3a, Fibroscan F3/12 kPa - F4/12.6 kPa, VL log 7.01 (10,182,417), steatosis, high iron load.

SOF/VEL with/without GS-9857 trial - NCT02639338.

SOT March 10 - EOT May 5, 2016 - SOF/VEL/VOX 8 week trial.

The doctor is very slow to give me info ! They said I was approved 8 days ago so they said ? for Zepatier but I needed some other blood tests so I did them 6 days ago I called them late on Friday and the girl said not to call that "THEY WILL CALL ME" WTF !!! I just woke up after 3 hours sleep dam ears ringing so loud I can't hear the damm T.V. and I feel like crap , Hopefully Monday I will hear something good gotta start new job @ 6 am after my 5 mile bike ride to get there This is not a fun ride ! Not whineing just want those med's !!!! I guess they will come in the mail ?

Hi Rick,

Yes, Zepatier is a good drug! I'm going to add a link to the manufacturers webpage for you. It's good to have that on file. It seemed to lose market position after Gilead started hawking Sovaldi, Harvoni and now Epclusa. They had a triple threat and the rest of the drug manufacturers fought for what was left.

The rates of success from Zepatier during the trials ranged from 92-100%. Different variables determine those numbers, but it is a very effective treatment.

Both are very effective treatments. Insurance Companies have Contracts that dictate their preferences.

My thoughts are you have Hep C, an offer of a good cure for it, and you should do it if you Doctor also gives his nod.

I just got a call from the doctor saying that the Insurance will not pay for Harvoni but will pay for Zepatiar any thoughts ???????
