About Fibroscans - or VCTE - (Vibration Controlled Transient Elastrography)

Commonly called a fibroscan (or a TE) - test which people have to derive an "Fscore" from.

A non-invasive scanning method to determine levels of liver stiffness/fibrosis (and other parameters). Measurements of your liver elasticity/stiffness are obtained, expressed in kilopascals (kPa's) which are converted to a Metavir scale (F0, F1, F2, F3 or F4). Fibroscans can be a good helpful tool and informational indicators to help grade your level of fibrosis and other conditions with liver disease.
