LoL Scruffy, it is good when the dr. says drink up!

I too am a coffee lover but have cut way back, used to drink expresso before bed because I got one of those wazoo machines. Didn't seem to affect my sleep at all but I guess I was up until about 3 every night and slept until noon, kinda glad to be away from that crazy schedule!

Hard to know if my high VL was from that or just years of toxic living, also had low fibro score. By the way I requested a fibro test to see if there was improvement. Sometime in 2023 is the test, guess I'll be waiting some!

Columbian all the way!

Been drinking up, maybe that's why I had the unusual combo of high viral load but F0-F1 liver?  In fact I could not live with out a shot of espresso to start the day, and at least 3 cuppas of drip during the day.

I was reading about the Coffee Rust blight in Colombia and Brazil, though.... more climate related ills.  https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2020/09/coffee-rust/616358/

Wow, I though people with hepatitis have to give up many food and drinks, especially coffee. So this news are surprise for me. I can't start a day without coffee, so do many other people, and it's great that they can do it regardless of their disease.

Hi friends,

I missed coffee so much when my stomach just said no , but I'm ok now with my carob powder and almond milk in hot water I'm thankful for the stuff I do tolerate

But! My fibrosis score finally went down a little on my last test without the coffee; I'll get it checked again next spring to see if it's a new trend.

Hubs fibrosis score went down then back up a bit but still in f2 rather than almost f4. I am beginning to think that is a score that might fluctuate, but he has been on regular blood pressure meds most of this year since he had some stroke ranges in his bp . He was drinking a lot of strong coffee this whole time but is now in the process of cutting back since the bp meds don't like coffee I guess  cry

I still haven't seen any HEpC meds advertised on tv since this whole rona thing started.

Oh, the PAC I see for liver wellness says that maybe fibrosis may be affected by cholesterol.

That’s how I interpreted the article, too. There’s no reason to include an active Hep patient, because their fibrosis stage would typically be increasing. Either way, I have read other studies that support it, and do my best to support the coffee growers!

I figured out that my emoji problem seems to be browser based. I think this old iPad is outdated. Still, other browsers work, why doesn’t Firefox? 🤨

I hope all is going the best for you, Obs! I bet the fall color is really busting out. I miss that part of the year. Enjoy it!

thanks Tig. Ive had to give up sooooo many things, Im grateful I dont have to give up coffee

(although I have found that non-organic coffee affects my nervous system).

No hepatitis patients were in the test, but some subjects have liver diseaseI wonder if any of those were cured hepatitis patients. I can see not wanting to have their study compete with ongoing viral replication in their subjects but i do wonder. I mean.. You and I dont have hepatitis anymore so if we were in that study i guess they would say no hepatitis patients participated

I found an interesting article on the benefits of coffee in fibrosis reduction. Drink up!

A Cup of Joe
