Hello again Kirstin, good to hear your news.  Congrats on getting started -  yes I agree it`s such a big relief to get that first shot done.  The longer you have to wait the more frightening it  all seems.  I hope the sx treat you kindly.

You`ve got a great attitude - let us know how it goes.

Love from JIll xxx

Hi Kirstin,

Congratulations on getting started!  I remember only too well that first scary shot and then when it was over, thinking what was I worried about?  As PJ and others have said, the days go by a bit slow, but the weeks go by pretty fast.  You'll be at that healthy you before you know it and you are right, you ARE worth it!  tysmile

Welcome Kristin,

I'm new here too. Just took my 3rd injection on Wed. 11th of May. I have just over a week to go for my first box score. I have lived with this for over 30 years so I understand what you mean about wanting to get back to being normal.

Bast of everything to you and keep checking in.

Ron

Hi PJ,

It's a relief isnt it to just get started?. I felt myself becoming more depressed/scared with all the waiting.. I know I/we are in for one hell of a ride & who knows how I will feel later on down the track but I wanted to start off positive, see how far that will get me through. I believe it was that first nite, the first injection that I was most worried about. Thought it would hurt, that I would pass out etc lol but it was a breeze. First hurdle jumped smile.gif .. Best of luck to you too. May just may be the lucky month for us to start huh wink.gif

Hi Kirstin,

I'm new here. Good for you on your starting treatment! I just started a Telaprevir trial on Thursday 5/5. I had been waiting for what seemed like forever so it's good to be underway! Love the attitude and well, I share it, 6 months is a small price to pay for the rest of our lives :).

Best of luck to you,
pj

It's been a while since I have visited the forum. If you remember I was a little down & getting very impatient with all the waiting I had to through to even start the TX program.. Well guess what?! I finally have! WOOHOO! I know it seems kinda odd to be excited about going through all of this for the next 6 months & believe me, the past few days have been tough (I started Interferon etc last Wednesday 11/5) but what I am going to concentrate on is getting better & kicking this disease in it's ass!. The next 6 months I can handle, the rest of my very long life is going to be just awesome!. So I may be down, tired, sick & sore but to know that after this, I am going to be 'normal' (or as close to anyhow) again thats what I am going to try to remind myself each & every day.. Positive, positive & more positive.. Though I'll let you all know if that stays true in the coming weeks. I have an awesome support system. people who love me & me, who believes that I am worth it! smile.gif
