Gatekeep, I started Lexapro 1 month before tx
To combat depression I had last time on tx 11 years ago.
It works!!! 10 mg a day.
I also take a half of a 25mg seroquel to sleep nightly as
RIBA keeps me awake.
I have gained weight on it and last time on tx
I looked like a skeleton.

Since I stated lexapro 2 wks before Rx I don't need to take Xanax. I have always had it and had been taking .12 mg before bed. I truly feel the 5 mg. Lexapro was just what I needed.

Iwas just recently prescribed xanax. I wasn't fond of the idea and the first time I took it it reminded me of having a glass of wine (which has not been for a very long time). However I have to say that it has been 3 days since I have either been so furious I could hurt someone or so upset that I couldn't talk without sobbing. I really didn't want one more drug but, ah , TP not be full of SO much anger and frustration is nice. I just worry about when the treatment is over.... When wil mental sx fade away Ps. I have 3 more shots and have been on Victelis.

I have xanax also.

If you check out the prescribing info for Invivek it states that Xanax does not affect the Incivek but Incivek increases the effect of xanax.

I get the same results from .5 as I did with 1mg before I started Incivek.

My oncologist and I have a meeting tomorrow in AM, we will be dicussing it.

I had to sleep! 2hrs tops each night after 30days, tomorrow will be 4th week HCV-RNA.

I need some rewards.

I normally take 1.0 XT (Time release) 2x day

My med Doc cut it .05 PRN so I dont think it will be a problem with concentrations, Incivek is supposed to incerease Benzo levels, from what I have gatherd Xanax has no effect on Incivek as far as effectivness treating HCV.

I dont think I can make it without another proper side effect med., but I also dont want to push limits which might impact results of trearment.

better yet call, Incivek's pharmacy. Call 1-855-VERTEX-GPS (1-855-837-8394)

there will be different options, but tell them you want the pharmacy department.

 

remember drug interactions, can be extremely dangerous, so always best to check before taking anything.

I don't know the answer. 

I would bet "no".

My pharmacy team has a great computer system where they punch in all the drugs that you are taking, or that you want them to check, and it spits out any conflicts.   Maybe you can check with your pharmacy, or call someone at the Incivek complany and find out the answer?

I am a Vietnam combat veteran with PTSD, I have been taking this med (1.0mg) for 30 years.

I was told to reduce dose because of drug concentrations, my question is this:.

Does Xanax impact the quality or usefulness or the way Incivek works.

Xanax is an ideal med to combat just about all HCV meds, from muscle rigors, sleeplessness, headachs, anxiety etc.
