I'm lucky and won't complain really, but it is hard not to get sucked into the maelstrom that is this treatment.  Rob has been a champ, really.  This is our second round of treatment, this time riba/peg/incevik, so this 'ain't our first rodeo,' but that doesn't necessarily make it an easy one either

I firmly believe in the support of a community and whenever I have questions, I run to the computer and have found it to be a great source of reassurance and information that we are not on this road alone

Hi Christine,

Firstly a big warm welcome to the forum, and yes you are a star, I can't imagine how I would have coped without my partner Cate who supported me while I was on Tx. Carers are the forgotton hero's helping everyone who take on tx. I hope you find sometime to spoil yourself, you deserve it.

Bless you and all the carers,

Greg

Thanks! I'm only a "part time" caretaker because my girlfriend lives across the state from me. We definitely talk every day though, so I try to be as much of an emotional support as possible. I was with her during the first week of treatment and will be with her during the last part of her 3rd and beginning of her 4th weeks. It isn't easy seeing her in pain, but I'm here for her no matter what!

For all of us who feel like somewhere we've gotten lost in this crazy treatment...for those of us whose lives have been taken over by medications and timers and trying to think of a tasty snack that has enough fat grams...for those whose spouses are so wrapped up in how lousy they feel that it no longer matters if you feel lousy...this hug is for all y'all.

((HUGS))
