Thanks that I usually do but he just said specifically "no you do not have to even check" so I figured he probably did. It's ok I think hindsights 20-20.

God bless,

Mike

Iris, thinking back he did specifically say he didn't like oral steroids, maybe injections are different I'm not sure.

Hello everyone. I am on my last box of pegasys, and sorry I haven't been on much but I have been busy. Recently I got a job as an EMT and I am going to get drug tested. I don't do drugs and I don't drink at all. Can the drugs we are on (right now it's just riba and peg) cause a false positive? Just wondering. It does make me a little nervous, because it can mess up everything else in your body. I mean I know I can just go to my doctor most likely if it did just wondering.

ALSO part 2 - I got an ear infection. I was perscribed amoxicillin and methylprednisolone (spelling off I'm sure), which is a steroid. I took them because my GP said it's fine and not to even call my doctor because theres not way it can hurt anything. Sooooo my gastro told me steroids increase the multiplication of hep c virus. Learned this after the fact. I KNEW I SHOULD HAVE CALLED. He said not to worry beecause I've been UND for 4 months and my VL is likely 0 and you can't multiply by 0. I'm not sweating it too much because he kind of laughed it off because my other doc messed up but he said realistically it probably didn't do anything. Just letting you all know if you get steroids check with your doctor. Like I said, I'm not that worried but if (dont even want to say it) my VL goes back up I'm gonna lose it. Not that you can't argue that it wasn't in part my fault, but just beacuse I was cruising good.

God bless,

Mike

Thanks for that info.  I never took steroids, but I'm sure that is a good thing for all of us to know. :)   Congrats with UND !!!
