Thanks, Phil. The "Winter Alan" has gone away, and the "Spring Alan" has emerged. On my Facebook page I said "Like a butterfly from a chrysalis, or a bum from a garbage can.... not sure which". But yes, the transition has occurred. I am pedalling the stationary bikes at the Y several evenings a week, but the doc says take it easy.

And Jeremiah was also one of my favorites. I appreciated the solitude of his existence, even though it's not my nature.

Congrats again. Lookin' good.

Alan

Thanks everybody. Where would we be without real people sharing similar experiences, comforting us in our lows, and celebrating with us in our highs!

Wow Alan. Didn't recognize you in the warm weather character. Guess Jeremiah Johnson has gone to the low lands for a while. That is a complement. One of my all time favorites, but then again, I can be a loner.

Very good news, Phil. I understand from my reading that weeks 8 and 12 on Victrellis are like weeks 4 and 8 on Incivek. Very critical. And it sounds like you got it right. Keep doing whatever you are doing and you may be able to move along at week 24. I got an additional 12 weeks because I wasn't completely UND at week 4 (Incivek). But I'll tell you what. The Pegasys and Riba alone are a walk in the park compared to triple therapy. I can do this a few extra weeks.

Keep going, and be sure to let us celebrate with you when you pop out the other side.

Alan

Just got back from the dr. Week 12 PCR undetected (<43 not detected, <1.63 not detected). Week 8 also undetected. I swiched from Labcorp to Quest in between, and was a little nervous about the change. Maybe this will make insurance happy, because they have been a real pain, denying coverage just about monthly. Stress does not help! Looks like a 24 or 28 week tx duration.

WBC, platelets, etc seem to have settled down above the criticals. Hemoglobin at 10.2 and not lined out yet, but dr doesn't want to reduce anything yet. Guess I won't complain, he got me this far.

Tomorrow is #14. Halfway there.
