Hi Tanya! Yes, I`m afraid losing your appetite is quite a common side effect when on tx, and losing your sense of smell and taste is all part of it too. It`s a bit different for everyone, some people find they have an unpleasant taste in their mouth and that certain foods and drinks taste and smell different too. I found my sense of smell was heightened during tx. It`s all pretty normal stuff, but don`t worry, most people start getting their appetite back almost as soon as they finish tx.  These strange side effects are only temporary.

I found that eating small meals and snacks throughout the day suited me much better than facing a big meal. Just try to eat as well and as healthily as you can, and make sure you drink plenty of water each day.

So you only have 4 more shots to go! I know it`s hard going, and the last few weeks can really drag, but hang on in there Tanya, you`re getting there. We`re here for you anytime.  smile

Take care, Jill xx

Thank you for asking. I never thought to . But I have been wondering as I have noticed some changes. No food makes me sick or nauseous but I find myself eating things I didn't care for before and things I adore (used to anyway) I am not interested in. More than once I have gone out and bought a bunch of something I found yummy, only to find a day later I didn't want any more. I really HATE to throw away food so I try to buy just a little at a time. Also I have to agree i don't feel very good after big meals. All part of the adventure.
