In the "changing taste" department, I found I could no longer tolerate good ol' Earl Gray, but I suddenly got a craving for blueberry Chai. So that's what I drank, and still do today (15 weeks to go).

Yes, Kelly, much has changed. It's a wonder we have all taken it so gracefully hmm

Hi Tanya, I`m quite sure it`s fine to drink green tea while on tx.  It`s a variety of tea which is naturally low in caffeine and, like all tea, is high in anti-oxidants.

I love green tea, especially with jasmine, but, like Kelly, it was one of the things I couldn`t face while I was on tx.

Great that you`re on your last month of tx now, well done, you`re getting there!  smile

Good luck!  ~ Jill xx

As far as I know all tea and coffee are ok. Green tea does not have any "herbal pharmaceutical" properties unless you eat it maybe .  I even read an article that said coffee was beneficial during treatment.. dunno, it was online.  Strangely for me, I drank pots and pots of green tea before treatment, ever since I have not had a taste for it. Odd, so much has changed.

All tea, as we know it, ...white, black, green, comes from the camellia sinensis tree, which is a small tree or shrub. Since it is a plant...you could consider herbal, it does contain caffeine, naturally. The different teas come from different ways of drying and processing the leaves.

I am unsure of any interaction with those on treatment and drinking tea. Since it does have its health benefits I would say it's ok, unless you have a condition where you should avoid caffeine.

Anybody else know? Blessings, Iris
