Hi baddog,  my husband also had Hep C and he had Lichen Planus on his shins and on his feet.   It`s something which is often associated with Hep C and I expect that is why your doctor tested you for it.  It can appear on various parts of the body or in the mouth.

My husband found that it got extremely itchy at times and our family doctor prescribed him topical corticosteroid ointment, which is a standard treatment, although the problem with that is that long term usage can cause thinning of the skin.   My husband found his skin started tearing more easily if he scratched those areas affected, so over time we tried various other creams and ointments and ended up with a plant-based cream which actually gave him as much relief as the corticosteroid ointment had done.

Here`s an article that tells you more about Lichen Planus...

Hope that helps!

Does anybody have Lichen Planus as well as HEP C. I went to the Dr. for my skin problem and then found out that I had HEP C.
