My Incivek rash and itching went away within a week of finishing Incivek.  That said, they were never very bad.

I saw my dermatologist this week and he looked at my Insivek rash scars and said they will fade over time.

I had to go back to him to address Foliculitis, a staff infection on my scalp. Yep, I feel like a scum-bag, but did read with hair loss the hair follicles are more susseptable to becoming clogged and infected.  I have blisters that burst and scab over on my head!  I was kind of hoping to be done with taking drugs, but I'm on a heavy duty antibiotic for a month anyway.

Besides that, life is good post-treatment if you don't mind anal fissures... Perhaps I am not the poster child for post-treatment, but if I part my hair right and don't show anyone my *******, everyone tells me I look great!

This itching is awful. I'm on week 21 and it started 2-3 weeks ago for me. Please say there is hope after treatment. It's torture and I agree- would MUCH rather have pain than itching!!

Also- haven't had psoriasis in over 10 years and it's going crazy right now :( I don't have the rash very bad but the psoriasis is taking over!! AH

Thanks guys, I guess it varies from person to person. Just have to wait and hope of the end of the boubonic plaque.

My itching stopped within a week of finishing Incivek. After three days the relief was noticeable, but after a week it was pretty much gone.

I think it depends how bad your rash is.  I ended up on Prednisone and a thick prescription topical cream, continued with the Zyrtec and hydroxizine for awhile.  If you are covered with rash it will take a few weeks for it to go.  I have scarring too. Sorry, but if you are really struggling, I highly reccommend you see a dermatologist.

I posted my rash photo in the "rash pictures" topic. It's mild but the itchy part drives me insane. I have a few days left, I hope it will all clear when I stop incivek.

I have 4 days of incivek left and the past 2 weeks have been a torture. I don't sleep at all. My morning routine of drugs include: Zyrtec, Benadryl and Allegra and Benadryl and hydroxyzine at night. I see that people say that post incivek they feel worse with continuing itching. Is there ever a relief???I will not be able to tolerate even another week if this horror! I'd rather have pain then the itch. Please tell me that you felt better after Incivek, I know Ribavirin gave me no problems whatsoever last time around and I'm sure it won't now.
