My husband gets weekly blood tests since his counts are so low, just not for viral load.  That is 4 wk (UND), 12 wk (UND) and not again till 24 wks.

i get blood test every month, but viral load was 4 weeks. 8 weeks. 24 weeks. and now i wait for the 48weeks. i cant just ask for extra. its how it goes. i would like some more reassurance, but it was workin, i have no reason to think that will change.

but they keep a montly check on all my other levels... im in it for the long haul regardless. 10 weeks to go. done 38 already.

good luck..

Thanks, Malcolm.  He has had a great response for which we're thankful.  But he's been on and off the riba so often I'd feel better with a 16 or 18 week test.  I'm the professional worrier in the family and I need more reassurance as well. aww

Hi Elizabeth, This varies a lot. I insisted on a 16 week test, then wanted a 20 week test (declined). My next test is at 24 weeks . I needed constant reassurance that all this suffering was worth it!

Your husband has achieved RVR (Rapid Virological Response)  from his 4 and 12 week test. If still undet. at 24 weeks, this is an eRVR (extended RVR). This is a great indicator for SVR. I would try for a 16 week test.

Looking goodsmile

How often are is your viral load tested?

My husband was UND at 4 weeks and 12 weeks and now they won't test again until 24 weeks.   While my memory isn't good, I thought I had read that most have the tests more often?
