Two more doses of Incivek and that's it!  I'd feel like celebrating if I could think of something I'd enjoy!  Maybe I'll throw all the butter so I can see butterflies.  Going to dermatologist on Thursday - will see what he says about rash and itch.  But God, I miss real food and real meals.  We shall all hang in there.  I knew there were others out there who started in May - just was too dumb to remember who!

It is nice to know there are others who feel exactly the way we do.  On the other hand, I think I'm lucky that my husband (although supportive) doesn't take my whining seriously and pushes me to get on with it.

Will report after my lab results (they said they should have them by Friday) - so, there's the next worry already.  But I'll stand my ground, and I won't back down...(thank you Tom Petty)

Hey Suey, I started Invicek triple tx May 19th.
I have 13 days and 2 pills left of Invicek.
Once we are off it for a week the itching will be gone.
It's that awesome thought!!!!!!!
I was UND 2 weeks, DET at 4 weeks and UND at 6 weeks.
I fear it may mean 48 weeks but I haven't asked because
Getting thru this med one day at a time is enough time limit:)
So glad to connect w you!
Wishing u great test results. Please let us know ASAP.
JoAnne

Hi Suey, good from hear from you again, sorry you`ve been having such a rough time but it`s great to hear that you`ve almost finished with Incivek now, and I hope the itching will get a lot better for you once that`s out of your system.   There are loads of good suggestions around for getting relief from itching, have a look at this thread for a start, and I`m sure other people will chime in with ideas too -

http://hepcfriends.activeboard.com/t50181564/have-a-rash-every-where-and-extremely-tired/

Keep drinking plenty of water every single day, rest when you need to, and do whatever you need to do to try to stay positive.  And please don`t worry about having a moan, it`s not weakness, you`re just tellling it like it is and we all understand.  That`s what we`re here for!  smile

All the best of luck with your 12 weeks lab results, keep us posted and I hope you hear from some of the people who started tx around the same time as you.

All the best to you, Jill xx

Seem to have lost you, and I recall there were a few of us.  4 2/3 days remaining on Incivek.  12 week labs today.  (at 4 weeks the viral load was too low to count but still detectable, thus my dream of only 24 weeks total treatment is out the window).  I guess if it's still detectable after today's they may tell me to abandon treatment.

Looking for relief from itching, starting to look like a wax person from all the lotions slathered on!  Also, can anyone out there tell me when sense of taste will return?  All I can tasted are sweet or sour.  No other foods taste like anything.  Need to know that this will come back.  Living on the fats (whipped cream, milk, butter, cheese) and fresh fruits, supplmeneted by a bowl of cereal for supper in order to take the riba.  I know, only 4 2/3 days left, but will food taste like anything after Incivek?  I swear this got worse after a week on Biaxin with a throat infection at around week 8.

As we all try to stay positive with this, and believe me that is a challenge in and of itself, I have tried to avoid whining on this site.  But here I am today, finally showing my weaknesses.

For now, "I will stand my ground, and I won't back down!"

Regards all.
