brian re your time zones. make sure you just keep ONE clock thats set on your original usa time zone and stick to that. let your wife have all the other time zone worries, but dose as if you are still at home. that would be my advice anyways.

ive travelled thru a ton of time zones in my time, not on treatment. but thats what i would do mate.

go and enjoy it. sounds like heaps of fun. woo hooo

and customs etc are usually great as long as you 'declare' everything. i travelled to australia from nz here with my methadone when i was on it.(clean now btw) but it was ok, i had a letter from doctors etc, and it was fine. never even checked it.

Your syringes have your prescriptions on them. That's all you need to bring them on a plane. I traveled within the US and they didn't even look twice.

I traveled a couple of times while on treatment (in the US) and I will be again soon and I had no problems traveling with the syringes... they did take my ice packs and test them but that was about it... they were awesome about my meds.. i called the airline ahead of time to ask and make sure it was okay and they said yes (I brought proof with me just in case)

Don't miss the chance to see part of Europe. Just get one of the little floppy cooler bags and two of the freezable cool packs and go for it. I always have the paperwork from the last pharmacy shipment with me, just in case someone wants proof about the meds, needles, etc. your flight attendant may allow you to put the cooler bag in their ice box for the flight, but you probably won't need it. I put the actual meds in a plastic ziplock with some air in it, and place that between the ice packs. It stays cool but cannot freeze. Alan

I travelled several times and took a letter from my nurse in the hospital.  Put your meds in an ice bag in your hand luggage and just show them at security - you'll be fine.

I live in the U.S. My wife's home business company has offered her a free trip to Paris for her and one other person. Unfortunately the dates of the trip are three weeks before I finish treatment, so I'll have to carry all my meds with me, including the refrigerated ones: Procrit, Neupogen, Victrelis and Pegintron. We'd be gone for 6 days and 5 nights, but I probably should carry enough meds for a couple of weeks just in case there are any unforeseen travel delays.

I was wondering if anyone else on treatment has managed to pull this off. I'm concerned about going through customs with all these syringes, as well as keeping things refrigerated. Also, Paris is 6 time zones away. How will this affect my dosing schedule?

FYI, I my doctor told me just last week that I'll be taking the short course on triple. biggrin I've been UND at weeks 4, 8 and 12. Treatment stop date is Oct. 19--only 83 days to go! I'm genotype 1b.
