When you itch, you'll do anything for relief.  Obviously everybody reacts differently, but my itching from incivek was so bad I had to ice my knees and elbows to sleep.  I ended up having to cut the incivick after 8 weeks.  I'm not trying to scare you, but don't hesitate to get whatever help you need.

I would say let the doctor prescribe. That way, if you need some extra help in the itch department you will already have what you need. I used a prescription cream for one week around week ten, and it helped a lot. Never needed it after that. Sounds like you have a very nice doctor.

Thanks Lana and Alan for the hints. My doc said if I start to itch to give him a call and he perscribe some meds for it. Is it worth getting these meds?

I posted in your day 1 area but again...I would get intense chills followed by fever and sweats.  Advil and rest helped with that but you just have to get through it.  A few days before starting treatment I started taking a daily zyrtec (allergy med) to prevent the rash and itch.  I didn't ever get it so don't know if I wouldn't get it anyway or if the zyrtec kept it away.  It is worth asking your doc about the advil and zyrtec.  Mine was fine with me taking it but I know everyone is different.

hang in there,

Meghan

It sounds to me like a textbook start to the Incivek triple. Don't let it scare you. These things are all normal. Put a light blanket or afghan on the back of the couch. Get an extra e-book or two for the kindle. Since you don't have to worry about showing up for work each morning, just settle in to this new schedule and get all your tools lined up. You'll learn new tricks as you go.

Day two did not go as well then day one. Was feeling good all day even went to a baseball game. when I got home I started feel the chills coming on. Went to bed wrapped up in a big blanket and went to sleep The chills went away and the itching started. Needless to say I did not sleep well after that. Now lets see what day 3 has in order for me.
