4 weeks post treatment and I still get dizzy. I am told it has more to do with dehydration than anemia, as my levels are back up. I got a fancy water bottle during treatment and it became my most valued possession. When it broke reciently I was really thrown off by its absence, so I've invested in a new one! Keep drinking' yer water guys!

i have been getting dizzy because of anemia and being out in the heat doesn't help any. i make sure i stand up very slowly now, because a few times it's been a little scary.

Drinking water and resting. If you smoke, stop! If u drink alcohol, stop!
We are here for u. I am on week 13, it gets easier to adjust.

I have had it more in the past several weeks.  Mostly when I'm out in the heat but sometimes at home, too.  I started Wk 23 today (have 48 wks total).  As I watch my Hemoglobin fall, I notice the dizziness gets worse, same with being out of breath.  Mine dropped to 10.0 before my dr put me on Procrit.

I also experienced this. I also nearly passed out whilst in the hospital pharmacy, waiting for my meds - this time I think it was due to not having eaten for a few hours and had a hypoglycemic episode where my speech became slurred. Someone grabbed me a quick snack which sorted it out.

I have had this for the whole treatment, particularly as the anemia became worse. Avoid getting up suddenly.

I went through this when I was in tx because of the anemia.  Pretty much through the whole treatment.  The anemia faded over a 6 week period after TX ended.  Seemed like every week had some new, irritating side effect.  Now the whole thing is just a bad memory.

Definitely, I work alone and had an episode where I had to ring my husband to pick me up as I was laid out on the floor at work and I would not risk driving home. 'Episodes' like this became fewer as my body adjusted to low blood counts. It is (i believe) a result of decreased oxygen to the brain as these medications reduce hemoglobin levels.

All you can do is Take It Easy.

Take care

Briefly, at the beginning I did. It only lasted a few seconds then I'd be ok.  It passed completley in a few weeks.

Good luck.

I had a terrible episode once when I took Riba then waited to get to Starbucks to have breAkfast and coffee. Was stuck with head between knees for some time. Guess it was totally why you are supposed to eat with meds. But outside of that it was not an ongoing sx. Hope it passes as you go on.

Yes, particularly at the normal times, like standing up quickly or getting out of the tub. Never had that sort of thing until treatment. Haven't noticed it letting up in the week post treatment, but I bet it will.
