Sounds like ALT/AST testing is a good diagostic tool-not a very good indicator for what is going on w/the liver.

Oh well, I will just keep on doing what I am doing and see what happens next..Thanks again

It's great! High level mean that the liver is damaged, since the virus is down your liver has a chance to restore itself to normal function. However, sometimes people with normal AST/ALT may have significant liver damage and even cirrhosis..

Geno 1b, relapsed in 2009 a week before my treatment was to be over. Started triple therapy on April 28th, 2012. UND at week 4,8,12,24,3 months post tx.

Had blood test yesterday-ALT/AST have dropped almost in half (60/56)  This is the lowest since 2007. Hope this means the virus is calm for the moment.  Have been exploring with different foods, supplements etc. so maybe the virus is in "shock" mode... 

FYI, NOT on treatment
