I started the Ribavirin on a Friday morning, then did my PegIntron injection Friday night with my evening Riba.  I had a 4-week lead-in for Victrelis.  Then added the Victrelis to my AM and PM Ribas, plus once in the afternoon at 2:30.  PegIntron was always Friday night injection.

My doctor told me to start the Incivek and ribavirin the morning of the first shot, "so my body would be all full of meds before the shot". So that is what I did. That was a Sunday. So quite by accident, my week started on Sunday, for all meds. It was great. My pill holders were already set up correctly right out of the box. No shuffling the little doors around. Anyway, I began the Incivek and ribavirin on a Sunday morning at 6AM sharp, 20 minutes after a microwaved Bob Evens sausage and biscuit and a glass of milk. I'll never forget it. Then again at 2PM I took my Incivek and another dose of ribavirin (yes, the Genentech/Roche lady told me to do them at the same time "to get it out of the way), with a pack of Little Debbie oatmeal cookies and another glass of milk. The shot happened at around 7PM. I was all freaked out, but it was easy and didn't hurt at all. Then at 10PM the final Incivek of the day, with a late Supper of pork chops, green beans, a home made biscuit with butter, and a dish of ice cream for dessert. Quoting Theodin, King of Rohan, "And so it begins". Nine months later I am finished with treatment, no viral load, and starting to recover from the treatment. Alan

Hi Annette, It is usual to start the Riba and Inciv. in the morning, so that would be on Sat 25th, the morning after your Peg. shot. Makes it easier to count the weeks.

My first shot of Pegasys is scheduled for Aug. 24th in the evening around 4pm. When can I expect to start taking the Riba and Incivik? I am starting a triple therapy treatment to get rid of this virus. I'm sure I can pose this question at my doctors office when I go in for instructions on how to administer these shots. But I like the responses I get from the folks on this forum. Plus, having foreknowledge will help me know what to expect as well as what to discuss with the nurse.

Thanks,
