Hi, Im Michaele. I like extra light olive oil dipped in bread. Usually I fry greenpeppers in the oil first. Its an acquired  taste for some, and I just started doing it in the past few months for no reason, but 1T has 14g fat, and its good fat. 1.5T can be put on a little anything instead of butter.   If one isnt used to olive oil or just doesnt like the taste the extra light tasting is  the one to try. Im suprise the drug compamy hasnt mentioned grill cheese. I havent started TX yet, so I have no idea how Im going to feel towards food. But from what I've read here, it may be like  drinking  sour milk. Good luck.  Some Cheese cake has 38g of fat per serving= 1/12 of a juniors cheese cake ,so half a serving with a swallow of milk or coffee with cream. Think I'll check out g's of fat in a  choc truffle       good luck again

So here the list of all ideas:

Try to get at least 100 calories

1. Banana

2. Creamed rice pudding

3. Toast and peanut butter

4. 2% Greek yogurt with banana and/or berries

5. Whole grain cereal with whole milk + more banana + berries +nuts

6. Smoothies: Blueberries, high fat milk and some protein powder.

These are great advise. Thank you

My husband is on Victrelis with similar times to what has been discussed.  Definitely the banana seems to be an easy option in the morning for him, or a slice of bread with vegemite.

If you find it hard to eat, then consider getting a handheld blender for smoothies. Blueberries, high fat milk and some protein powder work great. Don't swallow it all at once of course...just sip it slowly.

Doctor told me to try and get at least 100 calories

Good idea to break it down like that. 100 calories is doable and not too heavy.

I was not sure if banana alone was enough but since it has about 120 cal, I gues it is enough.

Rice cream pudding - good idea!

My schedule on Vic was basically like Jasmine's. My 6:30 am stayed the same as its been for years - oatmeal with banana, berries, nuts, a piece of bacon, two eggs (one yolk - dog gets the other), and salsa (the hotter the better, no onions or vinigar if possible). Just had to cut back on quantities and morning coffee to avoid nausea. The 2:30 pm staple was 2% Greek yogurt, more banana, berries, and nuts, 6:30 pm was a regular meal (reduced quantity, always meat, usually beans and fresh jalepenas, veg). The 10:30 pm snack was always a whole grain cerial like shredded wheat or Uncle Sam's, whole milk, more banana, berries, nuts). Although not required for Vic, I probably hit 20 grams of fat anyway. It seemed to help out if I popped the pills half-way thru the meal or snack.

Hi Jasmine, My schedule is pretty much like yours. After 24 weeks I have settled into a routine. I have the small tubs of yogurt at 0700 and 2200. Bananas are good, easy to digest. For a change I have small tubs of creamed rice. Tastes OK, and helps the capsules slip down. Toast and peanut butter has become a favourite as well .

Hello,

I take Victrelis @ 6:30AM, 3:30PM and 10:30 PM (this is my 4th week)

I also take Riba @6:30 AM together with Victrelis and @6:30 PM by itself.

This is 4 pill-taking times a day. Each time I have to take it with food or snack (according to directions. Thankfully does not have to be high in fat).

I find it very hard to wake up in the morning and immediately eat something. Same at 10:30 PM.

I would like to get some ideas for snacks or foods that are sufficient for pills and also taste good.

Please share your fav pill-taking foods .

Thank you so much

~Jasmine

The morning snack real hard on me also on Victrelis. 8am-3pm-11pm..i agree with Mallani, banana's and maybe some toast. Doctor told me to try and get at least 100 calories. Guess its better than the 20 grams of fat. I have 4 alarms on my cell phone. It gets confusing with the brain fog..Keep a log..
