I am also Genotype 3 and am waiting to start. 

This is a wonderful group and they have been very helpful.  Hang in there.  I will be joining you soon.

Genotype 3.  Treatment started on 1/11/2013 with Ribavirin and Pegatron.  Week 4 UND.  Week 12 UND.  Ended treatment on 6/28/2013.  Six months post treatment 12/04/2013 SVR.

When issues pop up, find ways to deal with them and keep on plugging.  It goes fast, I finished my six months treatment six months ago.  I was surprised how fast it went!

Keep it up! And when you feel awful, remember 2 things: it will be over, and it could have been a lot worse. I hope the rest of the way is easy for you.

Welcome!!  You have already done a month out of 6 months so keep going.  It will be very hard but don't give up unless you are forced to, keep in close contact with your doctor, read forum posts on here, ask for help, drink plenty of water, and let your body rest (sleep alot)!!

geno 1a, mother & brother also hep c +...mom got a blood transfusion and passed it along.  Started tx with incivik 11/23/11 and brother started 2/8/2012.  Both of us und. at 4,8,12 and me at 24.  I am going 36 wks and brother is going 48 weeks.

It's tuff but you can do it. Keep away from all caffeined drinks. Caffeine dehydrates & increases itch, rash. Good luck, Btw, I am in my 8th month w/3.5 to go. I may be counting the days soon. ;)

Hi there and welcome, Dbroome!  You`re certainly not alone here!  smile 

I did 24 wks tx (treatment) for genotype 3a and am very pleased to say it was successful.  It wasn`t what you`d call a walk in the park but it was do-able and some weeks were better than others.

It will go fast just keep yourself busy and don't dwell on it too much. It's my 19 out if 24 shots and I can't believe it went so fast. Best of luck!
