We have good days and not so good days but we have a chance to beat this disease and live longer life!
This forum has been heaven sent for me too, so glad u found us.

58 yo..Relapsed in 99 and again in 2004. Started triple therapy with Victrelis July 22,2012.  genotype 1a. week 8,12,16,24 VL Undetectable..E.O.T -- 6-22-2013,,,EOT + 24., UND.

7 oclock....Tick Tock, 9 oclock ....Tick Tock, 3 Oclock, ....Tick Tock, 9 Oclock, .....Tick Tock, 11 Oclock

1990 Youve got non A Non B,  1991 youve got C (misspent youth)

Mono Therapy 6 months 3 x Darts per week ....Cleared .... Relapsed wait something else will come along.

Tick tock, Tick Tock ... long time

20 years Later,  Whoo Hoo Something New and better for Gen1

Tick Tock 7 oclock

Start Interferon and Riba.....  4 weeks

Told to start Victrellis at week 5, did.... then ... oops we should have started you at week 4 so ... essentially... week one does not count L a week of ick for nought. Bugger (yes I am in Australia folks)

Tick Tock 9 oclock

Itchy itchy Itchy.

Bad taste, tears ... oh yeah doing this while menopausal, single and broke, no picnic

Tick Tock 3 oclock, (have to carry that one in my Bra so I know its with me at 3... Blister packs in Aus)

Spinning, spinning, spinning dont get up too fast ... got to keep working (part time), cant tell my colleagues .

Crying, Depressed, feeling bad, mouth ulcers, thrush, UTI, Headaches, who else in the world could be feeling this bad ????  ...Then ... Light..... found the hep c friends blog... oh you wonderful supportive people I have learnt so much from you ... you are here too, you know how much difference you make ... still have not signed on as I write, but in my darkest hours I come here and read your stories your highs your lows your wonderful support for folk you have never met in all parts of the globe, who share a common hideousness. I am so thankful for you all and you dont even know me, I feel like a voyeur, hovering, reading, understanding, learning more from you than my CNC. Friday night Darts Club !! Oh how I love that. I wanna be a member ... oh wait, I am, its just that I go on a Thursday night, alone.

Being forced to eat at each tick of the tock ... effort.... ick

Week 8 (but really its week 7) ... too Anaemic.... ooops halve the Riba... spinning spinning spinning

Do you need anti depressants ? ... God who needs to take MORE tablets... I f***ing Rattle now !

Do you need sleeping pills WHAT ??? Alarm 11 pm Get up 3 times in the night for a wee, (thanks 3 litres per day) alarm 7 am .... When do I get time for a good nights sleep ???? Sleeping isnt the problem its ....

Week 8.5 Bloods back, Undetected ... Elation after 30 years no virus... no matter how bad you feel people go with it ...go with it, DONT GIVE UP ...  this too shall pass ........ life changing, I hope.... slaying the dragon, but i wonder about the deamons ?

  Tick Tock 9 oclock, Dart !

Tick tock 11 oclock ....  coming up to 3 months now :)

Hi and welcome, mate. You've told my story! Hang in there. If I can last 28 weeks as an old cirrhotic with no Riba reduction, anyone can. I am even daring to hope I'll get to 48 weeks. Great to hear you got the 8 week undet.biggrin

Don't worry about the Thurs injection. The Americans are a day behind us anyway.

Geno 1b, IL28B CT,  x3 prior relapser,  ex-cirrhotic, 75 yo, did 48 weeks with Victrelis/Peg./Riba.  VL 1.28m at start, UNDET. at 8 ,12 ,16 ,24 ,30  and 48 weeks.  EOT 15 Feb 2013 , UNDET. at EOT + 28 weeks. SVR!  Still Undet. at EOT +5 years
