Wow, Lindsay you and Renee have an exciting time coming up. 48 weeks is a long struggle, and can make or break a relationship. You guys obviously have 'it'. Best wishes.

Thanks Alan! Yeah, it has been a long haul. I was so sad to learn that she had to do the full 48 weeks. I am really hoping treatment works out. Shot 44 was last night. 4 more to go!

My wife and I have enjoyed returning to normal, because we can remember clearly what normal feels like. You and Renee still get to discover what normal is. I envy you. Not that it will always be smooth and fun. Sometimes it will be damn tough. But the discovery is most exciting, and will make you smile each time a new "normal" pops up. I hope you two are vey happy. It seems like a long treatment for her, I guess because she had to drop the Incivek early. Tell her I think of her often and really wish her (and you) the best.

Renee has about 5 weeks left to go on treatment.  We've already started having conversations about what it will be like post-treatment.  We're looking forward to some of the positive effects: Renee feeling better physically and emotionally, being able to do more things together, resuming our regular sex life (we've had sex but it is more infrequent than both of us would like), and hopefully her achieving SVR. We both have expressed some concern on what it will be like once she is free of Hep C. Renee has lived with the diagnosis and the illnesses for 12 years.  When I met her, she was in okayish health but I asked her to go see a liver specialist again. And boom, she nearly immediately started treatment after meeting with him.  We've just had our 15 month anniversary together and 10 of those months Renee's been on treatment.   There is no question that we both love each other and are committed to one another, but I am wondering what life will be like as we settle into "normalcy." How have other couples moved from dealing with Hep C and treatment to life post treatment?

Lindsay
