Hi there Mary Jane and congratulations on these results! smile

In some ways doing tx on your own has advantages, but one of the biggest problems that I found was that it's very hard not to end up in a "black hole", with no one around to give you any perspective. I did the same thing and tried to rationalise the sx by keep telling myself it was the drugs..... almost like a mantra. I wonder if you've got anyone you can just call up to have a good vent when it gets too much?

The emotional stuff is "normal", kind of reminds me of the hormonal moods I get now lol.

I love your pic wink You're a very strong lady and the one thing I found to be the biggest help on tx was a good forum where I could have the odd rant and not get treated like I was a "nut job"!

Love Steff xx

M J  Hope you realize that I second everything Greenqueen ( Steff ) Says here  Thank You Steff    for putting into words what I was thinking

Bill

PS We are all backing you up  I'll always get back to you soon as I can

 Thanks my friends peace.gif

Mary Jane, my heart breaks when I read this because I know exactly what you are going through--we all do--and it is SO damned hard!  You feel like it will never end; many times you catch yourself saying f*&% this, and then a couple of hours later realize you must continue.  It will end, though, you can count on that.  And then feeling good again is Such a blessing; all of the little things that we may sometimes take for granted all become big things that we are very grateful for.  This is sometimes a blessing in disguise.  Hang in there; we're all with you.  Hugs.

Thanks Judy, you nailed it, it is hard, some of us just have it harder than others.. Yeah I have said a couple of times this %#@+ suxs I'm done... I was so sick before I started so it has just made it harder, my health took a nose dive in April and I was spiraling downward so I keep telling myself  the only way is up.. I do enjoy the little things fresh sheets, a full nite sleep, and when food tastes good.. (( hugs)) to you peace and love MJ

I am blaming everything on the drugs, I cry at commercials like when I was pregnant, my hair is falling out by the handfuls, my eyes are dry & sometimes I have pain , have to use lubricating drops and my vision has changed since the spring, wake up some mornings when my feet hit the floor and throw up, then have to go thru a ritual to get the 20 grams of fat down.. tired  all the time, walk to the mailbox and feel like a ran a marathon, sleep, terrible neck pain and headaches, back hurts, leg pain like charlie horse.. taste buds out of whack, yell at the dogs and there are 4 of them..Thank God they just wag their tails and look at me.. Live in my pj's , Probiotics help the backside but every once in awhile if I forget whoop there it is.. so I lay around and piss and moan but no one really here to listen to maybe that is a good thing.. and ramble like a idiot, yep it's the drugs... Stay calm and carry on with the meds... peace and love MJ

Yes, MJ, it sounds like a good report to me. I am very happy for you. This is a great start, and your chances are good. My first VL came back "less than 25", which translated to "detectable but too low to count". So my doctor gave me twelve extra weeks for bad behavior I was pretty pissed off, but it's OK now that it is over. And it is extra ammo for my SVR in January. Good luck with the remaining treatment. Yea Alan  I'm afraid  that for me it's the  full 48 weeks  My doctors always hinted at 48 weeks  They will not say definitely how long  but I knew that when I started the Incivek treatment Because I was in relapse when they switched me over to incivek  I'm preparing for the worst so any reduction in my sentence will be good  I must be really bad behavior  to have an  indefinite sentence  I don't think whats happing to me happens alot most people here got a vacation before round 2  I always get the wgong end of the stick anyway

Yep, that would be UND; yeah!!  Great news Mary Jane.  Most all of us got the eye pain and severe dryness.  Well, dryness everywhere...skin, hair, eyes, throat, mouth, nose, etc.  I had a baseline eye exam before tx, then half-way through got another, showing that my vision got slightly worse.  Had to change my glasses rx and wear them all the time.  About a week post-tx, I stopped wearing my glasses.  Haven't worn them since; I'm now 9.5 weeks post.

The nausea is difficult to deal with.  A couple of times, I have also thrown up and let me tell you...there's nothing quite like throwing up Victrelis!

Your little granddaughter is adorable!  I also love your profile pic!  Autumn is my favorite season and Halloween, my fav holiday.  Hang in there; you're doing Really well!!    smile

Thanks Malcom I can always count of you for the best answers...... My eyes are so dry and I have been dealing with some issues with the small print and I just had my glasses changed in April. and some eye pain..geez every week it's guess what side effect cometh my way.. Saturday will be 6 weeks for the Incevick, I call it hell in pill form.. this has been so hard for me as I am so nauseted and several occasions have thrown up..  I really admire all that have gone ahead of me and are doing 2nd and 3rd rounds of treatment... My wish for all is to slay this monster...once and for all... peace and love MJ

Hi MJ, if your VL is reported as <5, your lab must be using a TMA test eg Heptimax, and that certainly is equivalent to Undet. Congrats, soldier on!

Phone call from Doc office late yesterday afternoon... 4 week labs  < 5 !  so I assume and that's makes it under

a 1000 , thus this would be considered UND?  My brain is not firing all on all cylinders.. God I hope so because this has been a rocky road..  peace and love MJflowerpot.gif  May we all slay this beast once and for all...

attached is my sweet grand daughter and the reason I kept telling myself I have to do this...
