They did on my arms and hands but not my legs. Those areas have weaker skin and become easily damaged. I never had another out break like the first time in 99 after the steroids put it in check.

1b, 3rd time around on treatment. Stage IV cirr. Undetectable at 8 weeks with Incviek. Been infected since the late 70s. 48wk treatment completed. Sustained undetectable.

I was diagnosed having lichen planus, it is not as bad I just have brown spots every where. Did they go away after the treatment?

That is how I learned that I was Hep C positive was from my Dx of Lichen Planus. It is a rare autoimmune disease caused by the HepC. The it was explained to me, immune system gets confused between virus and the skin cells. Every time I damaged my skin, just before it looked like it was going to final phase of healing, it turned into raised bloody plaque. It took massive doses of steroids to bring it under control for me. My lower legs are still scarred up from it. It attacked my extremities but left my torso alone. It was a miserable for me. Very itchy and ugly to look at.

Is this something you are experiencing?  Ive developed a similar looking skin condition on my forearms that has persisted for about 8 weeks now. Seems resistant to creams. I havent seen a dermatologist, since it will likely clear after I finish the Rx.
