I agree about doing what you can to get rest.. I know it's the Riba. It went away within 2 weeks of finishing treatment. It is annoying! Especially at night!

J- One less thing to worry about.

It's funny but some days I loose breath just walking to the sink. Today I've been doing stuff for hours and everything seems good. Then again it is Thursday and Friday looms around the corner.

:) :)

I'm sure some will disagree with me...but...I think the Tx cough is due to the interferon...along with most of the common side effects. I had  multiple side effects with the first 3 Tx attempts which included interferon. The "cough", anger problems, rashes, insomnia, weight loss, swollen prostate, numbness from elbows to finger tips, mental fog etc.  I am currently into week 9 of my 4th treatment (non-interferon) with the study drug sofosbuvir/gs-5885 AND 1200 mg of ribavirin (per day). I haven't experienced any of these side effects as of yet. I was expecting some of the side effects to surface from the riba...but hasn't happened. Maybe my body has acclimated to the riba over the last 3 yrs, but I am prone to point the finger at the interferon. All IMHO.

Hazey - I agree. Without my sleep I'm a miserable SOB, and my wife is going through enough as it is.

Other than the cough and rash "stuff" I'm doing pretty good.

Oh yea, can't catch my breath!

The journey continues........yawn

As I've been told...

"Do whatever it takes to get you through treatment." - Anon

You can go through all the do's and don'ts but in the end... Our bodies are resilient to stress, and as long as we're taking our medication at the right time and in the right amount... we should pull through okay.

Keep using your fix to fight the "Ribacough" because you'll benefit more from the sleep and increased mood than if there were any slight drug interactions.

Info:

I have been fighting the "Ribacough" for 2 months. It's been costing me sleep and basically putting in a bad mood during the day. I started googling it last week and found a guy that says Robitussin and 2 big glasses of water twice a day. Bingo!! It's down to a wimper and again sleeping at night. Whether or not I'm supposed to take it I will find out next week when I re-visit my doc.
