Hi Dopey

I have the same feeling as you sometimes. I am lonely,  I never tell anyone I am in treatment.  My husband is leaving from me. so this treatment is very hard to me. Everytime when I feel not good, I come here. I am trying my best to keep my positive attitude.

Come on, be brave to fight!

Lucy

Thanks for sharing. Being honest about your fear is actually a form and source of strength. I'm scared to. Scared that I might not achieve a SVR and might have wasted another 48 weeks. What ever it is that your most afraid of, you can bet that most of us have had the same fears about the same things - and are getting better - one day at a time.

Hang in there, as you near the end of Rx, you will look back and see that the weeks flew by quickly.

Vern

Hi Dopey, I remember that your nurse said you needed a 1 log drop by week 4 to be able to continue with tx, but I haven`t come across that anywhere.  With boceprevir it`s the viral load test results at weeks 8 and 12 that are the important ones for continuing with tx, not the 4 week lead-in.  It`s true that the better you respond then the higher the chances of SVR, but I can`t imagine that your tx will be stopped this early, whatever your result is tomorrow.

I can understand you feeling anxious after last time, but please try not to get too stressed, you`ve done everything you`re supposed to do. smile  ~ Jill

Hi again Dopey, going through tx can be stressful and scary at times, and waiting around to get test results back doesn`t help.   And don`t forget that tx can make you more emotional and sensitive than usual too, so how you`re feeling is quite understandable.

Feeling like you have to put a brave front up for people close to you is bound to be a strain, and maybe you could think about sharing how you feel with someone in your family or a close friend.  Apart from that, we`re here for you.  That`s one of the main reasons why people join forums like this, so please do feel free to have a good rant whenever you want too!  s

I`m sure it will be a relief to you once you`ve spoken to your nurse tomorrow and know how your tx is going.

Take care, Jill

And same to you, Lucy, we`re always here! s

I think I've asked this question before but can anyone please point me in the direction of any research that says that if viral load has not had a 1 log drop by week 4 introducing boceprivir will not clear the virus (or chances of clearing the virus are low).

I get the results of my 4 week viral load tomorrow but am beside myself at the thought that my viral load won't have dropped sufficiently and treatment will be stopped.

I still can't see the logic as I'm the same person, same body, same virus, same drugs.  So if if they didn't work last time what are the chances of it working this time.
