I had Neupogen for the last 2.5 month of Incivek triple as my neutrophils got close to 0.75 benchmark.

Once a week, either upper thigh or abdomen. Under the skin.

You need to take it out of the fridge 20-30 mins before because the cold one brings a bit of injection pain.

I started Neupogen last Friday, 3 times a week.. shots seem easier to do than the peg...after a week and 4 shots my wbc jumped up to 34,000 from 2,000...or 34 from 2..whatever...Yes I give myself injections.

Now taking a half dose twice a week...the stuff really works...blood test every week now. My arms look like bruised banana's...I don't know how long i will take it...just go by Dr orders and hope for the best..

Good luck,

The good news is that he is undetectable at 4 weeks.

The bad news is that his white blood cells are still a bit low.  He may end up having to take an injection called Neupogen (I think this is

how you spell it?)  Has anyone else had to take this drug for low white blood cell counts?  If so, were you able to give the injections to yourself

at home?  Or did you have to go to the doctor's office to get the injections?  And how long did you have to take the injections for?

Thanks,

Carol
