Doing good on the water thing it gets easier the more I drink also I have an infusier that I put lemons strawberries or cucumbers in to, however I am going to buy a few bushels of carrots and juice, I still have my one cup of coffee in the morning ( will never give that up) I have noticed a big change I have so much energy I have been spring cleaning and now going to do some yard work before it gets to hot. I went and got a pill box to help me take all the drugs I have to take a day (14) pills, mostly for my back and muscles, blood pressure and now that I take my meds like I am supposed to I feel great except on Wednesdays, I am thankful the flu like symptoms only lasted 1 day hope it gets shorter and shorter as time goes on. I am glad to know my viral load is about medium.

I just love this forum

Thanks everyone for you input and God Bless\Robin

Hi hepcat, no prob, all you did was click on `quote` instead of `reply`. You can reply by using that option...you can type your reply underneath the `quoted` section. I can delete if for you, if you like.

Hi Robin, best of luck! I wasn`t a great fan of drinking plain water either, but used to add a slice of lemon or orange for flavouring. Well diluted juice is ok too. I also drank green tea, redbush tea, and some herbal teas too, but it`s a matter of personal choice. A gallon of water sounds like a lot to try and drink, although I expect it`s getting pretty warm over there in Texas.  I couldn`t drink coffee at all, I went off it from day 1!

Keep us posted! smile

Sorry I just did something wrong.  I have been off Incivic for about 3 weeks.  I feel much better, particularly today.  I had a shot of Procrit Thursday-maybe I am feeling  some results of that.  Anyway, it was nice to do a few chores around the house today.

So I just started treatment today for hepc genotype 2 and not sure which is the viral load on this test result

HCV Viral Load Log6.20.0 - 2.8LOG
so if someone could explain to me what this means would be great. I am excited to finally be on treatment but very unhappy about no caffine! Do any of you still have your caffine and what besides water can I drink, not much of a water drinker. And I was told I have to drink a gallon a day, I am sure I will have even more questions as time goes on, I am taking copegus and pegininferion. Thanks

Hi Robin

Good luck on treatment. I can't read those things so I'm no help ;)I drink lots of water. I used to drink the carbinated flavored no sugar ones for a while like selzer water or the La Croiz or blue sky, & HEB brands  .untill I burned myself out on them. I like the carbination ...helps with my indigestion. I drink the fruit-vegitable ones like V-8 lots of different kinds cause nothing taste good that long and limit them cause they are expensive.

Still drink a coffee or green tea once or twice a week but follow it with a lot of water. I juice fruit and veggies but usually put it in a smoothie with frozen banannas or strawberries. Not too much though.

Water is what flushes the bad bugs out.... on ice or very cold is how I drink it. I never was much on it lukewarm.

What can I say...I'm south of you...it gets hot here.biggrin

Hi, good luck on treatment, I hope it goes smooth with little SX. 1 million til 5 is considered a medium viral load. 5 million above is considered high. But I wouldn't worry about that as you are already treating. :D

Hi Robin,

Laboratories are trying to standardise measurement of Viral Load. The accepted unit is i.u./ml (international units per millilitre of blood). Different Labs have different conversion factors to translate i.u./ml in viral copies/ml. The usual Roche PCR test uses a conversion factor of 2.5  Your Lab is using a conversion factor of about 5. The figure you should remember is 1.57 million i.u./ml. The 6.2 is that number expressed as log. units. The Lab. report should state the conversion factor. The numbers all mean the same thing, and remember which one you use, for comparison with future VL tests. It's confusing, I know. Cheers.
