Hi Carol,

As hubby has an RVR, for Geno 2 the VL is not considered necessary. Insurance Cos certainly wouldn't pay for one. He'll be undetected at EOT and achieve SVR, no problem. Cheers.

Hi Carol, I would think that`s quite usual as your husband has genotype 2 and the virus was undetectable at 4 weeks.  Gen 2 is known to respond very well to the SOC peg/rib combo treatment and a rapid response after 4 wks of tx is a very good indicator of a successful outcome.   I had gen 3 and only had vl tests done at 4 weeks and at EOT too.

Great that he`s reached the halfway point...well done to him!  And to you for being his support!  smile

Hi,

My husband just completed his 12th shot tonight, so he is halfway done!  My question is that his doctor did a viral load test at Week 4, which came back undetectable.  He has

not done a viral load since that time, however.  Is this normal?  Is his doctor assuming that because he was undetectable at Week 4, he must be undetectable at Week 12?

Thanks for any feedback,

Carol
