Thank you.... This makes me feel better about it. I have been worrying all day. I am going to talk with my Drs office on Tuesday to ensure that they send the Rx to the specialty pharmacy right away.

Every month my Incivek had to be re-approved following a review of my blood tests. It's kinda worrisome to have to hope every month that the lab doesn't lose or hold up the release of the results too long.

If I remember correctly, my insurance company only paid for a month at a time and they switched to their specialty pharmacy in my second month. None of it was a problem. It was actually very smooth with my insurance company.

If you have already been approved for the first round of meds, you should be ok. My insurance co wanted to see the lab results several times during my 28 weeks with Victrelis  to ensure I was still within the Response Guided Therapy guidelines before they would approve more meds (pre-certifications). Several times it was close because my doctor's office was not very good at sending the results on time. Good luck with tx.

I got 2 letters in today about the apprroval of my meds. I was approved for Incivek for a one month time period and for Peg for 16 weeks. Does anyone know what that means? Am I going to have to pay full price after the approval dates end? They also have denied the use of the specialty pharmacy that my physician uses and I can only use theirs. Trying to get ahold of my physicians office, but its a holiday weekend disbelief. I hope this doesnt delay my start date.

Anyone have any insight?
