dillo,

thanks for the kind words. giving the shot wasn't new to me,for i've had treatment before. i expected the insomnia but not the muscle aches and tingling feeling. when you took the ribo did you have any swelling?

Today is also my first day of Victrelis. That means its the start of week 5 overall. So today is my first triple whammy, one of everything! I've read that there is a whole new set of side effects when you start the third treatment drug. What say you?

ucbgal,

I thought the shots were going to bother me but they didn't. That first sticking the needle in though... I did my first one in the Clinic with the NP showing me the proper way ;) I came in thinking I would do them in my leg or arm but she thought the stomach would be my best bet. It's worked so far.
I have taken my riba at all kinds of times but have settled on when I get up in the morning so I can take my evening dose as early as possible. I sleep better that way.

I love that Natalie Merchant tune.

Good luck on treatment

DJ... Alright!

Tonight I am taking my last shot. I was scared to death of giving myself a shot. How could I possible do that to myself? And I am still not crazy about it, but it has gotten less stressful. Stay strong! You will get to the end :)

guys,

thanks for all the support and tips i've already learned in one month. anyone who's on triple x and completes the regimen deserves an olympic gold medal! talk about being fighters and survivors...

anyway i got all the 10 pills down and survived dart1!!! the shot seemed the hardest for i still haven't slept and have muscle pains. has anyone ever taken their 2nd round of ribo at 2? well in such a rush to down the smoothie and pop the pills i did. not a pleasant thing to do. solved the swollen tongue with the benadryl.

on a lighter note, listen to natalie merchant's "these are the days..." this song has gotten me through a very long teaching career and now my battle for hepc. also i'm keeping a journal and will be writing some poems.

     off to the insomnia bed...
