I alternated, L-thigh, r-thigh, same on stomach. Always got some kind of bruise or mark, some went away quick, some marks stayed quite awhile.

And i am still here so it is harmless..

Think I am going to just do my abdomen from now on and skip my legs. Ive noticed that the shots on my abdomen go away much quicker...

I inject in my stomach too. I notice a red area about 2 inches in diameter for a week on average following each shot. I don't like using my legs either.

Sometimes I get bruises, sometimes not.

I only inject in the fatty stomach area in a different spot, never the legs.

Injections in the thigh tend to be like that. That's why I prefer the abdomen around the belly-button. Adding up over the years, I've done 2 in my thighs, and 162 in my abdomen.

Dillo- I get the red circles and they last about a week, but the injections I did on week 2 and 4 on my legs have left a dark discoloration where the redness once was. Im guessing this is normal,, and my Dr didnt seem worried.

I was thinking bruise maybe but who knows.

I had red circles around my injection sites on my stomach on Incivek. Last 1 to 2 weeks. Nothing since I stopped it. That's the only place I give myself injections.

rannelle,

i still have faint bruises from dart1&2 and they were the ones i had to self inject. now i have the self injecting pen, barely get a bruise and fewer

muscle aches. when i did my 1st round of soc 10 years ago, never had a bruise or aches but used my glutes. tomorrow i'm trying my glutes. maybe this could solve all our problems!!!! also can't comment on abs for i'm too scared to try that area. good luck whatever you decide.

also have you fully recovered from the race and the muscle aches? i had forgotten to mention the icy/hot patches or bengay for them.

Hi Nurschic, Yes I have discoloration at the injection sites too on my stomach. My NP has seen them. Nothing much to worry about. I think the most important thing my np said was not to inject it in the same spot every week. I even have a little itching where I have injected in the past several weeks.  When I did the dual treatment in 03', I had the same symptoms on my quads. For years afterwards my quads would itch. kel

I didnt think it was anything to worry about, I just thought it was odd the only 2 out if my 7 sites have discolored. All the other ones went away within the week, but these havent and they havent faded much either.

I have been rotating my injection sites and I always have a local site reaction (which I know is normal). My sites usual go left abdomin, left leg, right abdomin and right leg. I have noticed that my sites on my legs are discolored, almost bruised looking even after many weeks. The one on my leg leg is 5 weeks old and the one on my right leg is 3 weeks old. Is this normal?? Why are all my other sites fine and gone, but not these 2?
