You guys rock. That's all there is. Try to imagine anything life can throw at you that comes close to this intensity. Post treatment I have decided that I can handle pretty much anything. You have that to look forward to.

Hey Tim you're almost there!

I just want to crawl into a hole and come out on the other side. My patience is dwindling.

Hi Tim, hepcat, Jack and Tig,

I know what you're going through. This time last year I was bed-ridden, cranky, itchy with little interest in anything other than surviving Rx. The 48 weekers deserve a medal, particularly if you're on Victrelis and have to remember the 18 pills a day.  Jack, try to do a bit of exercise if you can, even just some stretching- my muscle loss and ligament atrophy was very difficult after Rx. We're with you all the way. Cheers.

Good job Jack! Reading your post is almost chilling. I'm feeling many of your side effects as well. Even your wife's reaction to your activity sounds like my own! I haven't had to take any Eprex, but my numbers are dropping quick, so who knows. I'm only on Dart 14 so I've got time to catch up, lol!! It tells me that we're all on the same boat and explains many things. Just knowing that there are others experiencing the same issues makes it seem somehow normal. Calling any part of this normal seems a stretch but it explains a lot. Knowing you can handle it as bravely as you have helps me tolerate things a little better. There is nothing easy about this and you deserve a pat on the back (and then some) for your ability to tolerate this and your positive outlook!

MY wife and I are counting the days down as well . I have 44 days left in the treatment. i"It's been a rough ride to this point but there are many that have SE sickness worse than we do and never make it this far. I inject Eprex for helping in raising my RBC  on  Monday and shoot the interferon Thursday. I have been in a prone position all the way through treatment.  I have Home Care drop by and make me a small lunch, My wonderful wife works to pay the bills and then come home to take care of me. My liver specialist has reduce my interferon. to 145 3 darts ago. I guess I was looking real bad from the sides and blood counts. This week after seeing him an blood work was done. the NP called me at home and told me to reduce the Ribavirin by 1 tablet in the morning. I missed 1 shot of Eprex and my rbc count took a nose dive. I always fell sick for the most part but some times I have a really good day. I only seem to vomit it I try to move off the bed or couch and do something mechanical. I last about 3-15 min before I have to go dry heave, some times I feel real good after that and complete the tiny task I set out to do or just lie down. The wife gets real upset with me for trying to do even the simplest chores as I am not steady on my feet most days. The kids supplied me with a XBOX 3 to take up my time on the couch. I think the graphics may have made me ill on occasion. So I cut back on my playing. Best of luck to all of us that make it this far. Thanks to our helpers that help along the way.

I can relate to that!  I just took dart 32  (I think)  It nice to know less than 20 to go.  I can appreciate what women go through with morning sickness.  I dry heave or throw up 4-6 days a week.  I am getting very used to it actually.  Hang in there all!  Many of us are just around  the corner, but all of us had a first shot.  We are blessed just to still be in the game.
