Thanks all.  Took a brisk 3/4 mile walk today.  I don't know if I would have made it without your encouragement.

Feel proud hepcat! What a warrior you are. Not an easy path, but you've done great and now is the time to recover and get your strength back. I had blood tests done at EOT and then 18 days later (as a prep for my liver cancer screening) and was pleasantly surprised to see improvement in most areas. I know it is early and many areas have room for improvement, but I know this will come in time.

Thinking positive thoughts, sending them in your direction. Let's get it done!

I agree Hepcat, CONGRATULATIONS!! You did it and did it well Brother, we're all thrilled you made it. I couldn't wait 6 months and told my Hepa that I wanted a 12 week VL and if necessary a 24 week test. I'm impatient! Now's your time to turn off the alarms and get back to living life without pills around the clock. That has been the most enjoyable part of ending treatment so far, no pill routine. It doesn't take long to forget it though and you'll be back enjoying life your way. Enjoy your new found freedom!

Just took my last 2 riba pills and had my 48 week labs.    I am not sure what to expect now.  I guess labs at 6 months and hopefully SVR!

Thanks to all of you for your support. There were times that you guys were the only ones who really knew the drill.  My total treatment counting both trials included approximately 135 shots.  Dry heaves-vomiting 170 times.   Rash on 50% of my body for 35 weeks of the 48.  Only needed one shot for anemia.

Hi Hepcat,

Congrats on getting to the end. Finish those Riba and I hope you recover rapidly.  As the others have said, take it easy at first. Good luck with the VL's to come. Cheers.

That's great news Hepcat! One more week of pills and the freedom from these drugs begins. It's wonderful not having the constant alarms to answer to, you'll love it! Time to heal and get your life back. Good luck!smile

Because I am done!  At least with Interferon.  Six more days of riba and I am in the waiting mode.  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I must say as difficult as it was, it feels like it went by quickly.  I will miss having a readily handy excuse available, but am looking forward to exercise, working in the yard this spring, and reconnecting with my friends and golf game.

This site has been awesome! Know that you guys all know what we go through.  I will keep in touch and look forward to SVR and posting in the Post-treatment section.
