I had a very bad blood clot in my leg during tx. But I also had previous problems before w/ it. After Tx I had it taken care of.

Hi John,

I did some research and came up with some reading material for you. I also had an increase in spider veins and some evidence of larger veins as well (varicose veins). They can be itchy around the area but often they can be painful to touch as well. I've heard others here mention they had a problem with this as well. I have to wonder if it isn't more to do with the Interferon and Ribavirin, than Incivek or Victrelis. But I don't know that for sure. There is a way on the Pegasys (Int) webpage (below) to report your experiences and that will get your symptoms posted to the "bigger picture". They use it for determining the rates of these issues occurring in all patients prescribed these meds. I know this isn't a solution for you but I hope knowing that it's likely treatment caused. Try not to scratch! That makes it worse. Try to take something like Zyrtec if your doctor is okay with it, mine was and it helped my generalized itching a lot! Warm, moist compresses will help the discomfort and you might also try elevating your feet and legs when possible and if your doctor approves it, you might consider wearing some pressure stockings, they're good anyway for people that tend to stay seated or in bed a lot. They help keep the blood from pooling in your lower extremities. I hope this helps you!

Am having a lot of small veins popping up especially on lower legs but also around body. Have done searches on here and just general web searches and am not finding any thing about it. Am on triple therapy with the Incivic and am wondering if any one else is having the same problems. Some itch like crazy, and already have all the itching/scratching going on I can stand. Normal? is there any thing I can do about it?

Thanks and hope every one is doing well
