Thanks Jill,

I have decided to do just that. I have 4 weeks of incevik left, I'll wait and see how I feel when that's all done. Don't want to add any more fuel to the side effects fire. I seem to be managing ok with work etc., so want to keep living as normal a life as much as possible. If I feel I need them after I'm done incevik, or if I get worse at coping, I'll consider them then. I have them at least so starting will be easy. One day at a time!

I hope you feel better soon! We have freak weather here, you stole our snow! Normally we have months of snow and everyone enjoys ice-skating and snow sports. This year it is so mild I have flowers still in bloom that should have finished in autumn. This is a very weird winter for us! :)

Oh poor Tig, I really pity you having to cope with such dreadful weather!  wink

Here`s a photo of my back garden earlier this week, it`s turning into a swamp...but so heartening to see the first daffodil of the year out!

Best of luck with your journey, Sally, hope all goes well.  It`ll be great for you to spend time with your family.

Hi Gracie, good to hear your appointment went well, and sounds like your hepatologist has put your mind at ease concerning your incivek treatment, it`s certainly working for you to have had such a huge drop in viral load at 4 weeks.  If you think you can manage without AD`s maybe it would be best to see how you go for a couple of weeks or so.  Best of luck with whatever you decide!

Hi Gracie,

Good luck with your new AD. I'm sure it'll be much better than your first time around! That just wasn't a typical reaction. Speaking of coming south to get away from the snow, here's a little example of the terrible weather I'm having to put up with! Oh the pain..... biggrin

She gave me a couple of boxes of AD to try. Gotta tell ya, I'm a little gun shy. I think I'll wait until next week. After my 8 week viral load. We are expecting more snow tomorrow. It's been a good winter to be housebound most of the time...lol. Once I'm done this treatment next November, I'm going south for a month!

Gracie,

Sorry, yes Dallas Buyers club is a movie, kinda new I guess. Pretty good.

And would love a little of that snow, just not all at once. Very dry here.

Hang in there!!

I would request Wellbutrin, it's very mild and the easiest to stop when the time comes. Celexa is another good option for short term use. Paxil is a difficult SSRI to stop for some and has it's own share of side effects. I guess between the two you mentioned, I'd say Elavil. These are both old AD's, there are more improved choices available. I'd ask your doc if there are other choices available.

Gracie,

Glad you're feeling better, and I hope you find some thing that will work for you. And your doc sounds pretty convinced that you will do well, good deal,I wanna see your smiling face posting svr sometime soon. Good luck and have a nice day, guess I will go out and brave the cold weather here for a bit, think its about 70 so want to enjoy a little while I can. Watched Dallas Buyers Club last night, reminded me of every one on here. Best of luck stay in touch

Well, I had a great visit with my hepologist. He cleared some things up for me. Apparently the Sofosbuvir won't be available in my province until 2 or 3 years which is why I'm on the incevik. And he has had over 90% success rate with incevik. He also said my viral load was 15,000,000 to start and not 1,500,000 which I had thought the nurse had said. And that 22 at week 4 was a true indication that it's working. He said he would give me $100 if I wasn't clear of this virus by week 12. Made me feel better.

He said I should try Paxil or Elavel . That both are easier on the stcmach. Wondering what others experiences are on this drug. He also gave me a free website you can all use that tells of drug interactions with treatment.
