Hey Sarah

Congrats on making to your 24 dart, its no easy feat.

If I was you I would ask for the two week test be pushed out to the 4th week, its much more of a important week EOT status to check.

Hope everything works out

Hi Sarah,

Congratulations on reaching your final dart! I remember the day well and even posted a picture here of that last dart. I know what a great achievement it is, be proud of reaching that goal!

I don't know why your doctor is requiring another VL at EOT + 2. Are you sure it's a VL and not some basic lab tests like the CBC or LFT's? The general VL protocol is what you stated, EOT +12, 24 and 52 weeks. It's an expensive test and my insurance will not authorize any testing that doesn't meet established recommendations/standards. I've already been billed for tests that were performed and they later decided weren't required! It's unfortunate but it seems in light of all the new insurance changes, we're probably wise to confirm coverage for just about everything. Good luck!

Congrats on the last dart! How amazing that must feel. If they are offering the test, no harm in taking it. Will lessen the worry a bit.

Tomorrow night will be Interferon dart 24 of 24 plus i have 1 more week of Ribaviron.  Last time I was at the doctor they told me I would get blood tests at 3, 6 and 12 months.  Just got a blood test order in the mail from doctor requesting a blood test 2 weeks post treatment.  Is that necessary?  I have been UND since week 4.

Thanks for any input.
