Geno 1b, IL28B CT,  x3 prior relapser,  ex-cirrhotic, 75 yo, did 48 weeks with Victrelis/Peg./Riba.  VL 1.28m at start, UNDET. at 8 ,12 ,16 ,24 ,30  and 48 weeks.  EOT 15 Feb 2013 , UNDET. at EOT + 28 weeks. SVR!  Still Undet. at EOT +5 years

Thanks for the well wishes! Today I honestly felt no different and I was very busy. I move around quite a bit at work and have to talk to a lot of people.  I know it's just the first day, so we will see how it goes! My first blood test is scheduled for 2 weeks, so I am very excited about that. 

Gracie, hang in there and I will make sure I post results. 

Optomistic, I was craving sweets today... I made an emergency run to the store and got a candy bar.. Lol! I'm glad you said something so I can try and control that. I don't need the extra pounds!!  Great news on the und!

Thanks all my headaches have subsided, i drink a lot of water., but i have gained 6 lbs i am always craving some cake or pie or candy. Anyone else have this affliction?

Go Caryn... I have a real interest in your results, as I do was unsuccessfully with incevik. Great that we get a newer and better chance with these no shot treatments. Go Girl! Show me how it's done!

Hi all my doctor just called to discuss my 4 week lab results. Before today i did not know what type of geno i am. I am geno 1a taking sovaldi and olysio combo, after four weeks i am undectable., and feeling great. best of luck to all

Hi Caryn,

I agree with Wayne that you will have a much better experience this time around. From experience, as have many others, the Riba is likely to cause the nuisance side effects mentioned so often but are easily controlled. Just follow the plan and in no time at all, you'll be Hep C free!! Good luck on starting this blockbuster treatment!

Hi Caryn,

Glad to hear you're underway with treatment. You should  be very pleasantly surprised this time. I'm retired, but on the same meds and could have continued working were it necessary. The Riba can be problematic, as you already know, but overall the combo is manageable. Best of luck to you.

I just started my meds O/S/R.  This is round 2, so I am hoping this one works!  I am going to try and work this time. I just hope everything works out.
