Thanks Angie. INF gives me anxiety and nervousness too. Mostly nervousness. You don't have much longer to go either. Well, we're both closer than yestetday. Thanks John. Not sure of the combo you're on, but if it's what we're taking, its a good one. Goodluck to you. jimbob

Congrats on being undetected! I find that the interferon messes with me as well. More anxiety than depression though. I have always had anxiety and pre Tx I had some depression going on so I've been on celexa for a while now. I thought about upping my dose as well. The doctor mentioned that I may have to. I hope that you get to feeling better soon. At least there isn't that much longer to go on this stuff. Hang in there :)

I've had those tearing up episodes too. It's the INF. My emotions have kinda been all over the place. Thanks

Tig--
You've always been there partner , thanks. I just doubled- up 2 days ago, but I'm calling the PCP today anyway. This tx is very manageable if it just wasn't for the depression. I'm sure its the Inf. Overall, tx has been better than expected.

Matt, I did just that yestetday. I worked around the house as much as possible. It was still difficult tho. But that's great advice. I probably need to get back to gym, or just walking may help more as you suggested. Thanks

Cinnamon Girl--
Thank you for the support and removing the post. Had some rel issues with the board yesterday. And yes, I'm glad I pushed for the test. It certainly helped elevate my mood.

Hi James, congrats on your 4 week Und!  I bet you`re so glad you pushed for this test now!  Good to see your liver enzymes dropping down nicely too.

I sympathise with the depression though, that was a problem for me too while on tx.  I found anti-depressants helped quite a lot, but also it`s important to find enjoyable and uplifting ways to relax and take your mind off things, whatever it is that you like doing.  Try to limit the amount of stress in your life too, this is your time and you need to do whatever you can to make the process as easy as possible.

Best of luck, and remember you can talk to us anytime at all, we`re here to help!  smile

PS - I`ve removed your duplicate post, it`s no problem!

Hey James

Congrats on the week four UND, its a day that you will learn to cherish and remember fondly.

Try to stay as active as possible, possible outside working with plants/gardening or taking long walks to get the blood moving. "Moving heals and sitting kills" a title from a book.

Hi James,

I feel for you brother. The first time I was on Interferon mono therapy, I was taking that evil stuff three times a week for months. I wasn't prone to depression before that and when I started it, it was like the entire world fell on me! I didn't know what was wrong, I have never felt so desperate for help, for an answer why I was feeling like that. My doctor didn't tell me this might happen, and figured it out, but not until I was a wreck. I was started on Zoloft and it helped but like you it just kept it controlled, not resolved. I recommend you talk with the doctor and increase the dose or try something else. Don't wait if you don't have to. Make the call. This time, I requested an AD before Tx and was started on Wellbutrin twice daily. I didn't experience any depression this go around and I was on full dose (180) Peg for 28 weeks. It worked very well for me. Hang on to all that makes you happy, and share your feelings with someone close. It helps to talk about it with a friend or loved one. You need the support right now. It will get better quickly once you finish, so hang in there! If you ever want to talk, you know I'm here for you...

Hey JimBob...

Congrats on your UND - well deserved. Sorry however to hear about your depression. Wish I could help. Thankfully I haven't experienced full blown depression, just real off the wall emotions. I am NOT a crier, like, never cry and just last night i was watching some show and started bawling, uncontrollable, as if my dog had just died or something. It's so annoying. I don't know if its the Sovaldi or the Riba that does that but it seems many deal with the altered mood regardless of the treatment they're on. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be if you're prone to those issues already. Well I know others here have been in your shoes so hopefully they can help with some ideas.

Tomorrow begins week 10 for me so three weeks to go.. woohoo. Lets hope I don't punch anyone in the face or cry in public! That's how the swings go! LOL

Keep you're head up... you're halfway there.

Week 4 UND. AST-29, ALT-21. RNA QN <15, RNA LOG <1.18. Drop in platlets to 104, mild anemia, but nothin to warrant change thus far. Week 6 shot was last nite. I am very pleased. I know I should be elated, but this damn depression ain't good. Taking AD and even doubled up this week, but it is still seeping thru. I am managing headaches well enough but just can't shake the depression. Was prone to depression prior to tx. Any suggestions?
