Hi John,

Don't worry about the enzymes. I was Undetected from week 8 to 48 and my enzymes stayed about the same as yours.

Even though there may be no liver inflammation, the constant remodelling causes enzyme elevation by itself. My enzymes eventually fell just into the normal range at EOT + 24w. Cheers.

Hi John, I wouldn`t worry too much about your liver enzymes while you`re still on treatment.  It`s not unusual for them to fluctuate and I expect you`ll see them drop as you go further along.  Do you know what your latest alt and ast levels were?

Hope all`s going well for you!  smile

Hi John,

Just because you're undetectable doesn't mean your enzymes will immediately drop into normal ranges too. They somemtimes do, but just as often, they don't. The normalization of your liver enzymes comes in time for many people. Once the inflammatory process and the cause of it (HCV) have been corrected, the liver enzymes will start their correction as well. It takes some people time for those numbers to turn around, there is no set schedule to expect them to follow. You should begin to see things moving in that direction soon enough.
