Dx. 2005-liver bx.: stg 2/gr 1. at that time  - GT 1a multiple transfusions in 1981.  Started Sovaldi and Olysio 1/16/14  (No prior treatments) Q80K present.  UND week 4,8 and at EOT.   UND at wk 4EOT, Und at wk 8EOT  SVR 12!!!..SVR 24 :-)

Thanks for the replies! I sure hope it works this time!  Also, I do know the true meaning of brain fog. I will be getting my next labs at the 9 week mark, not 10.

Great LFT's, and your blood counts are impressive. Don't worry about your platelets- they go up and down. Things look very promising this time. Cheers.

  HCV Genotype 3a , now Psot-Tx was on S/riba. First VL was 5.8 mil on 7-5-13 then "und" at 3.8 weeks. 06/13/14 still und. off meds 3 days back on 7/29 Last pill 08/10/14 SVR+4

Harvoni started 12-12-14 for 24 wks PrevTX Geno 1 stage 3 cirrhosis - non resp Int/ ribv. Started Trial  in Aug 2011 -July 2012 into Incivek relapsed  Feb 2013 Had 72 weeks on interferon & Riba.

Caryn,

I was also still showing a v.l. At week 5 but my 8 week labs were UND. I also started with a high V. L. Mine was 19 million. I think it just takes longer for some of us. I have more labs in June and again in Dec. hoping to be SVR and looking at my UND as a good sign. This is my first tx. And hopefully my last. Good luck

Thanks Jill!  The tests should have been at week 2 and 4, but she sent me the labs via email with the dates on them and they reflected week 1 and 3. Then, she had me get another one at week 5 since I was showing 40 at week 3.  My next one will be in a month which will be at week 10. He ordered a few extra tests to go with this next one.

Excellent news, Caryn, congrats!  The treatment`s working and you must be so relieved to still be Und!

I must say I did wonder why you were having so many viral load tests done!  So will that be the last one now till EOT?

I wouldn`t worry about your platelets count or other labs, they often fluctuate during tx, and your Hg is holding up well at 11.9.  Your liver enzymes (AST and ALT) are looking great!

Since my blood work was off (1,3,5 week labs) I was showing UND at week 5. I was at 40 at week 3. My doctor said that there is no reason for me to extend treatment or even be concerned since I had such a massive drop from  39,000,000 on Feb 14th.  There was no specific reason I was off on the blood work. The nurse gave me the wrong dates to get it done!!! Anyway, here are my latest labs. Best part though is: HCV RT-PCR, Quant (Non-Graph) Hepatitis C Quantitation HCV Not Detected IU/mL 

AST - 15

ALT - 11

My platelets went from 238 to 328 and I have no idea what that means. Here are some other tests that are out of range or getting close to being out of range

Neutrophils - 75 - high

MCHC - 31.3 Low

Hemoglobin - 11.9 - normal ref range 11.1-15.9

RBC - 3.93 normal - 3.77-5.28
