non compassionate co workers certainly help the riba rage come on quick.. I know!! lol

TazKat Genotype 1A null responder x 3 riba & iterferon twice, relapsed from Incivek 2012 with only 12 weeks left to do. stage 4 mild cirrhosis 4/25/2014/ started sovaldi riba & interferon.. finished treatment 7/17/14  results 7/25  cleared..

I think it was them not me.  I'm in a fine mood today.  I'm eating the same way as I have been for a while.  I avoid sugar/sweeteners and highly processed foods as much as possible, limit carbs to slow digesting carbs (like whole grain).  I do that for general health though, not for HCV/liver.

Hi PW,

This being day five without the Riba me, I'm finding myself not caring about a lot of things I normally would care about and I've definitely been a little short with folks the past day or two. I'm not sure what to make of it but want to throw that out there.

There are definitely well documented cases of Riba causing a little rage too. Otherwise, I finally feel great physically! 

Are you on any special or different nutrition plan?

  HCV Genotype 3a , now Psot-Tx was on S/riba. First VL was 5.8 mil on 7-5-13 then "und" at 3.8 weeks. 06/13/14 still und. off meds 3 days back on 7/29 Last pill 08/10/14 SVR+4

Hi patiently,

I think it is your co-workers and not the medicines that is making you irritated.


People's bodies may not necessarily react the same way when on meds.

I am about to finish my Ribavarin Peg interferon treatment and I never experienced Riba rage. But then again, there are others who did.

The start of treatment is always fraught with doubts and second-guesses, but its only natural.

You will be fine!

Trust me on that.

It's my 3rd day and I feel surprisingly good, but today I have been highly irritated at some people I work with.  It's really hard to say whether this is the meds or not though because these people are just naturally annoying...throwing people under the bus in meetings and so forth.  I think it's going to be a challenge figuring out when I should push back on things and when I'm being oversensitive because of the riba.
